This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases of courses, books, digital products, and services made through AKJ Academy Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “our”) via the Website. The Policy is drafted in compliance with:

  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
  • Information Technology Act, 2000
  • RBI Guidelines on Digital Payments & Chargebacks
  • Any other applicable Indian laws

By purchasing or accessing our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms in this Policy.


1. General Principles

  • AKJ Academy follows a transparent, fair, and customer-friendly refund and cancellation process.
  • Refunds are processed only in accordance with this Policy.
  • Users are required to read service descriptions carefully before purchase.

2. Refund Policy for Online Courses & Mentorship Programs

Due to the nature of digital education services, fees once paid are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be considered in the following situations:

2.1 Valid Grounds for Refund

Refunds may be approved only under the following conditions:

  • Duplicate payment made for the same course;
  • Technical issue preventing access to the purchased course for more than 72 hours, despite support intervention;
  • Service not delivered as described due to an error attributable to the Company.

2.2 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • User’s change of mind after purchase;
  • User’s lack of time, interest, or inability to attend classes;
  • Partial usage of course content or attendance in sessions;
  • Discounted courses, special batches, or promotional offers;
  • Misuse of content, account sharing, or violation of Terms of Use.

2.3 Eligibility Verification

The Company reserves the right to:

  • Evaluate supporting evidence provided,
  • Analyze system logs,
  • Approve or reject refund requests based on merit.

3. Refund Policy for Books & Physical Products

3.1 Replacement/Refund Eligibility

A refund or replacement is allowed only if:

  • The book/product delivered is damageddefective, or incorrect; and
  • A request is raised within 3 days of delivery with photo/video proof.

3.2 Non-Eligible Situations

No refunds or replacements are allowed for:

  • Minor handling or courier-related wear;
  • Incorrect address provided by User;
  • Product returned without original packaging.

3.3 Return Shipping

  • For valid cases, we bear the return shipping charges.
  • For user-initiated returns (non-valid cases), no reimbursement is provided.

4. Digital Products (E-books, PDFs, Downloads)

Digital products are non-refundable under all circumstances because they are instantly delivered and accessible.


5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Course Cancellation by User

  • Course purchases cannot be cancelled once access is granted.
  • No partial or pro-rated refunds for course withdrawal.

5.2 Cancellation by AKJ Academy

We may cancel a course/service if:

  • The batch is discontinued or rescheduled;
  • There is a technical or operational issue.

In such cases, Users will receive:

  • Either a full refund, or
  • Free transfer to another batch/course.

6. Chargebacks (RBI Compliant)

As per RBI guidelines, Users may initiate chargebacks in legitimate cases such as:

  • Unauthorized transactions;
  • Technical failures resulting in non-receipt of service.

The Company will:

  • Cooperate with banks/payment gateways,
  • Provide transaction records as required,
  • Resolve disputes in good faith.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account termination and legal action.


7. Refund Process & Timelines

7.1 How to Raise a Request

Email akjacademy@akjacademy.com with:

  • Full name
  • Registered email/phone
  • Order ID/Transaction ID
  • Reason for refund request
  • Supporting evidence (if applicable)

7.2 Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days.
  • Timelines depend on the payment method and bank processing.

7.3 Mode of Refund

Refunds are issued:

  • To the original payment method, or
  • To a designated bank account (if necessary).

No cash refunds.


8. No Guarantee of Results

Educational outcomes vary among individuals. No refund will be granted based on:

  • Exam performance;
  • Rank expectations;
  • Study progress.

9. Compliance With Consumer Protection Laws & E-Commerce Rules

We ensure:

  • Transparent disclosure of fees, terms, and product details;
  • No misleading representations;
  • Fair consumer practices;
  • Proper record-keeping of transactions.

10. Amendment of Policy
